“A student in my class is gay. He was mocked, bullied and intimidated by boys in his year group. Along with this, students are always calling things “gay” which is insulting and insensitive to the LQBTQIA community. Students don’t seem to understand how their language influences a person’s self-esteem and self-worth. Education is everything. Students need to understand the power of language. ”
