Ask Me Anything with Samantha Renke

Overview: Roundtable webinar hosted by broadcaster and Disability rights campaigner Samantha Renke. Samantha is known for her no fuss, no holds barred approach when it comes to sharing her own lived experience and those of the Disability community. This is your chance to ask Samantha the questions you’ve hesitated to ask about inclusion and Disability, such as: “Am I using the right terminology?”, "Is it okay to ask someone about the Disability?”, "Should I offer to help a Disabled person?”, "What did the words ‘ableism’ and ‘pre-disabled’ mean?” and “How can we ensure our colleagues feel comfortable discussing their reasonable adjustments?”. Sessions won’t be recorded to ensure a safe, judgment-free space.

Duration: 1 hour

Session format: Can be taken as a standalone beginners module or as a follow-up session after a 3-hour disability awareness training

“I truly believe other peoples awkwardness towards Def, Disabled and neurodivergent people only adds to the father marginalisation of an underserved and under represented community. We all want to do and say the right things but perhaps we aren't asking the right questions to reach this goal. Well now here is your chance.”
